August 2002 Newsletter

Greetings:

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful summer. As we know, now is the time for swimming, parties, vacations, getting away with the family, and other summer events. I hope that you are getting in your fair share of recreation.

I just want to let everyone know how happy we have been with our move and relocation to Seattle. Our Seattle office is turning out to be a most wonderful location for us. While we have easy access off Interstate 5, we are close to the Courthouse, yet within the hubbub of the city. We are pleased that this is such a central location for us to handle your case and other legal cases throughout the state. If you have not visited the office, please stop by and say hello, and we would be more than happy to see you. Of course, feel free to make an appointment to come in for an update on your case. We would welcome this at any time.

It is also my great pleasure to formally and officially welcome Pat Ransom to our legal team. Pat Ransom is an experienced, highly qualified, and caring paralegal. She is a valued member of our legal team. We welcome her. Many of you have had the opportunity to either meet Pat or work with her when you have called in. She has just celebrated her four month anniversary with us and we look forward to a long and continued relationship with Pat. Welcome aboard, Pat. I want you to know how much I truly appreciate your work and your efforts. You are a delight to work with.

Thank you for the calls that I received from several of you regarding seeing me on television or in the newspapers. As reflected in the newspaper article that I have enclosed, I represent Ms. Suzanne Karr. She was the right arm for Tim Eyman in several of the initiatives which have recently been before us as voters. The Public Disclosure Commission is treating her in an unfair manner and I am representing her in our attempt to set the record straight and keep the Public Disclosure Commission from over-reaching its bounds.

I am also pleased that over the last year I have developed a comprehensive medical power of attorney. It has taken many hours of research, drafts, redrafts, and extensive reading to put together the kind of medical power of attorney I was envisioning when this project began. If you have any concerns about who will make your medical decisions if you are unconscious or otherwise incapable of making medical decisions, you should consider a medical power of attorney. The extensive medical power of attorney that I have developed is, in my opinion, one of the more comprehensive medical powers of attorney being used in the United States. It is designed to specifically set forth one's requests and protect one from giving sole medical authority to health care providers. As most of you know, I am a former anesthetist. Having seen medicine from both the medical side, as well as the legal side, it is my strong opinion that medical decisions be made by your loved ones and not by your doctors. The current charge to prepare a medical power of attorney for you is a flat fee of $150.00. This offer of $150.00 for a medical power of attorney will remain open for sixty days. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or Pat for more information.

Thank you for the referrals which you have been sending to us. We appreciate your vote of confidence in us by sending us your friends and family for representation. We certainly welcome your referrals in medical negligence actions, automobile collisions, and other injury cases, as well as in boundary line disputes on property. If you have a legal matter that you would like to discuss with us, please do not hesitate to call. We are more than willing to confidentially discuss any of your legal issues. If we are able to assist you, we will gladly accept your case and diligently work for you.

Again, please know that Pat and I both wish you a joyous time during the remaining days of summer and hope you have a wonderful and prosperous early fall.

Very truly yours,

Robert A. Zielke
